One Bitten, Nine Shy (10/366)

Posting for today :)

I ate (almost) the whole bag.

A sharing size bag, so maybe it's not so horrible? I shared. Right? I mean, I'm sharing right now..sorta.

I got a massive headache, which is really weird because I never get headaches from chocolate. Of course, with the weird heart thing that's been going on, who knows anymore. That is defiantly triggered by chocolate. I found that out today.

But these were so yummy, with creamy peanut butter inside, just waiting...

Sigh.

I think a different angle would have much improved this photo.

For what it's worth, the m&m's in the photo weren't eaten, melted, or harmed in any way...(by me)

Time for a selfie (9/366)

*posting for today*

Confidence was on the more list. So, here goes nothin'... :)

I don't do selfies. I swear this photo lies. It's a stunt double. She's half biting her lip like a retard...?

And yes, I'll tell her she needs her eyebrows done. :/

*posting for yesterday*

Ok, so I have 2 for yesterday's photo. I had 4, didn't like how they looked in the 4 pic collage, so you get two..LOL

We went to T's work so he could do a bit more work on some more motorcycle parts. These parts are made out of steel (I think), and when finished, they will be tapered to match the inside 2 degree taper of the brass pieces I posted Saturday. They will slip inside and lock the brass pieces to the forks on the motorcycle.

I really tried to show motion (that thing was spinning SOOOO FAST!), but the lighting was tricky, and I wanted to show the smoke and shavings coming off the piece being trimmed. I was really intrigued by the curlie-q's LOL

These are sooc, except for the larger pic in the first collage. I had to lighten it up to show better detail then the original.

Brass (7/366)

Today was a more relaxing day then normal. Slept in a bit, since no little ones were around to wake me up. Then ran several errands with the honey. We went to Wal-Mart, JoAnn's, AC Moore, & Sports Authority.  I had a few returns from unwanted or not-quite-right Christmas gifts, and he had a few things he needed to look for. I got some of the things I need to make my next project, a clothespin picture frame! Then, we tackled the grocery store, and ended the day with a wonderful dinner of steak, loaded baked potatoes & salad. Now, I'm sipping a yummy tropical rum drink, and blogging here. :)

Coming out of the grocery store, I saw dark menacing clouds, and a full moon visible against the afternoon blue sky.  The sun was setting fast. It was so pretty! By the time we got home, this was all that was left of the color.

I was disappointed I missed the moon slipping into the black clouds.

Now, the photo that closes the first week of my 366. I'm pretty happy I've made it this far! Silly, maybe..but if you knew how quickly I usually give up on challenging things I say I want to do...well, let's just say I'm considering a week a small victory.

In this photo, you'll see part of my boyfriend T's life rather then mine. These are pieces of a motorcycle being custom built by a guy he works with. I took about 20 pictures, and let T pick the ones I put together. These particular pieces were made by him, out of solid brass, with a cnc machine. When the black & gold bike is done, his name will be in a motorcycle magazine, since he's helped fabricate many of the parts!

Just a quick crappy shot because I was busy all day...

Divorce agreement says I have to transport kids halfway for each visitation. This is what I look at for 6 hours every other weekend...

I wonder what the fine is for camera use while driving? Yes, my check engine light is on...which is why my inspection is overdue as of November 20th :/

Lunch Time (5/366)

It's lunch time!

Posting on the sly, because I'm at work...shhhhhhhh

I know tonight's going to be a busy night, because well, after last night, I actually need to spend time cooking, cleaning, folding laundry, dishes etc. Shocker, I know. Such is the life of a single mom.

So here it is, my lunch, from a wonderful Mediterranean deli not far from work. They know me by name, know my fries must be extra crispy with ranch on the side, and have my sandwich recipe memorized. But, today, due to high cholesterol & cold weather, it's minestrone soup with italian bread. Soooooooo yummy!

Have a wonderful rest of your Day Five!

Challenge accomplished (4/366)

*posting for January 4th*

I know readers here have already heard how wonderful the natural light is in my house..haha But, since "excuses" is on my list of "less" for 2012, I decided that "I don't get home til after dark", and "photos will always be crappy because I can't afford a light set up", and other such things I have said in the past were no longer (at least for yesterday) going to come out of my mouth. No way!

While cooking a second (frozen) pizza I started brain storming, experimenting, and thinking outside my comfort zone. I got out a few candles, a small mirror, determinedly turned my ISO setting from "auto" to 400, and took about 65 photos over the course of the next hour. I got 2, maybe 3, that matched my vision.

P.S. Yea, an hour. The laundry still, right. this. very. second., isn't folded, lying in heaps in my living room. Which is also strewn with toys, library books, and probably a candy wrapper. And yep, I feed my kids frozen pizza's. But don't worry...they ate the first one. The second one, well...did I say 65 photos? It was probably more like 165. I kinda lost track of time. Apparently said children think blackened pizza is *almost* as un-appealing as the roast from the other night. I really do try to make balanced meals most of the time. Ya know.. protein, carbs, fruits & veggies. Last night was a possible fail. No wait....popsicles have fruit juice in them...phew! Mom-of-the-Year awards are accepted via blog comment box, thank you. My publicist will be in touch.

~ back to reality

I was thrilled, no..... ecstatic! when I saw this shot on the LCD. I even put my memory card into my wii to make sure...and even though my TV is half green, I could tell I was going to love it! (swear to God, this fall/winter has been HELL on all electronics in my house.) I couldn't wait to get to work today,  get into picnik, fix 'er up and post it. As it turns out, all I did was add my "watermark". And, innerly twitch a bit at the tilt..I think my head is screwed on crooked.

This is a really simple message, to my honey.

I'm so in love with this image. Not just because I think it's nice (which I do), but because I'm proud of me for creating it. I tried, challenged, and did it!

Four down, three hundred sixty two to go :)
